I bought high-end makeup for the first time! Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Review

August 20, 2017 1 Comments
Hi everyone! On the previous post, I made a review on eyeshadow palette from a brand name Nicka K. Click here if you not see it yet

Yet, this is another review about eyeshadow haha. I just so in love with eyeshadow, they are literally one of the most beautiful things in the world! 😆 Don't you think so?

For this time review I wanna talk about one of the Tarte palette called Tartelette In Bloom which very, very famous and I think you guys might have seen this somewhere at least once whether in makeup tutorial, instagram or anywhere

I just shoot this on the floor because I'm too lazy that time 😅

And in Sephora, the Tarte section always was put at the most front of the entrance. Which mean, they are getting a lot of attention and demand from the consumers. I have tried the tester like a hundred times already at Sephora but never had a real chance to buy it (yeah bcos I'm broke). Only from the tester I know that Tartelette In Bloom is indeed a very good palette. The quality is just the bomb which you will never find in drugstore products

So I spend 175 bucks on this (yeah it's crazy please dont tell my mum). You can get it in Sephora and this is like my first high-end makeup ever! I never bought something that totally expensive like this one haha. But I just need to because I have been craving for this palette for a very long time. So yeah, I finally did it guyss (duhh)

So here the first look!

The box

The look inside

The palette's size on my hand

The way it looks on the back

It has a very large mirror which very convenient

The colors:

I would say that the third row of this palette; sweetheart, rebel and leader are my favorite of all the rest of the colors. They are just wayyyyy tooooooooooo prettyyyyy to handle! I just cant~~ lol

So here the swatches on the back of my hand:

The first row (from left): Charmer | Jetsetter | Rocker | Smokeshow

Second row (from left): Flower child | Smartypants | Firecracker | Activist

Third row (from left): Funny girl | Sweetheart | Rebel | Leader

🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

So this here my full review on this lovely Tartelette In Bloom palette:

1. Love the palette so much. The colors are beautiful, the pigmentation is just so good
2. Most of the colors are matte, but the texture is very creamy. Once I applied this on my eye-lid, it feels so soft
3. Suitable for everyday look. I really recommend this to those who like natural look for the eyes
4. The smell is SO F**KING GOOD! It smells so nice guyss. I cant stop putting my nose on it lol. It smells like a chocolate or cookies. Love it!
5. The packaging is so well made. Not like some tacky plastics and it does look very luxurios
6. Good for both beginners and professional

Few things I don't really like about the palette:

1. I have been using this for almost 2 month, and I noticed that the surface of the packaging started to fall-out. I dont know how to explain it but I will put the picture next time
2. So because of that, I think that this palette might be not really travel-friendly. But if you dont mind about the look of the packaging so it's fine then. You can always bring it together anywhere you want
3. The eyeshadow itself is quite fall-off if you pressing it too hard. So please be gentle especially when you are using brushes or else you will be wasting too much product (Remember guys, this little angel cost you RM175)
4. The colors might can't really be seen on someone who has deep skin tone. Because me myself, my skin is quite tan so I find that it's quite hard to make it visible on my eye-lids compare on those who have lighter skin tone. I recommend you to use your finger because the color look much better on skin than using the brush

🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Here I will show you the look of the this eyeshadow on me:

For this look I just use one shade; Smarty pants

So that's all my review for this time. I hope I can write more in the future, there's so many makeup and skin-care products I wanna share with you guys. Till then, thanks for reading

Drugstore Eyeshadow: Nicka K New York Palette

August 19, 2017 0 Comments
Assalamualaikum and hi guys. I've been busy lately with the video for Hari Merdeka and I was like "Hey, lets abandon all these works and write some stuffs (smiley face)" That's the common thing that happened in my head when suddenly my mind became like struggling to do something more productive when I'm actually 'productively doing something'. I know, doesn't make sense our minds sometimes

Okay back to the main topic, I wanna make some review on this eyeshadow palette from a brand name Nicka K New York

*please excuse mine is totally worn out, have been using this for almost a year*

You can try google it and see that they actually got a lot of products under their brand and I think that the products they are making looks pretty cool

I got this palette from Watsons Berjaya Times Square around in September and October last year (sorry cant recall). I bought it at a very very reasonable price for only RM17! Can you believe this guys? An eyeshadow palette with 9 colors cost you lower than 20 ringgit?? Totally gonna grab this!

But I'm not that easily to spend my money. Even they are cheap, doesn't mean I would just okay if the quality is so bad. I prefer to buy something expensive but I could wear it for the rest of my life than being a cheapskate and then end up throwing them into the bin

So I tried the tester to see the texture of the eyeshadow; whether they're pigmented or not and here guys, once again I was sooooooo deeply moved by the swatches! lol

I mean like.. the price is so affordable, the size and the colors are just nice, the pigmentation is good and it's a drugstore cosmetic! Not some knocked-off from the market or something

So here the look of the palette (I labelled the colors with numbers so that it will be easier to show you the swatches later)

As you can see it comes together with a little sponge with stick...? spatula? brush? I dont know what they called that thing (I never use it) and also a little mirror at the bottom (which clearly no one will use)

Look at the container, mine is already broken and crushed so bad 😂

Look of the back of the palette. I got mine in the shade of 'Perfect Nude'

The swatches. The pigmentation is quite good itsn't it?

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Overall, I will give 4 out of 5 stars to this palette ☆☆☆☆ Here my reasons:

1. The colors are beautiful
2. The pigmentation is good (cant compare to high-end one but honestly I think it's good enough)
3. The price is superb! Totally affordable!
4. It easy to blend, suitable for beginners
5. Also it stay quite long (as long as you dont rub your eyes too much)

I really recommend this to you guys who want an affordable eyeshadow palette. Honestly I think the quality of this Nicka K eyeshadow is much better than other popular drugstore brands like Revlon and Maybelline

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Lastly, I belanja sikit lah my look when I applied this eyeshadow on my everyday makeup look

I apply filter on this photo or else the eyeshadow cant really be seen on my eye-lids

Noob looks. My pipi dah macam nak meletop hahaa

Okay guys thats all my makeup review for this time. Thanks for reading

Gross?? Namu Life Snail White Facial Cream Review!

July 15, 2017 18 Comments

Assalamualaikum and Hello everyone. Today review is about my most favorite skin care product; which is a snail’s secretion-based product from Namu Life. So finally it's here guys; Snail White facial cream!

Before I started with the review, I wanna tell you guys a few things about this snail-based products

Using snail as part of skin treatment is not something weird or bizarre in a few countries like Thailand and South Korea. Instead, there are a lot of snail-based products in beauty market from various brands. Technically, snail secretion originally was found really good in repairing and renovating dead skin. It also good for aging-skin and is able to help to reduce the appearance of scars and redness

A few things I know about Snail White:

Snail White from Namu Life is one of the most famous brands for snail-based product. It became a huge trend around year 2012 - 2013 (if I’m not mistaken) in beauty industry. Me myself is one of those people who got my attention on this facial cream but I was just so indifferent during that time because the price is too expensive for me

But what is beauty without sacrifice isn’t it?

So I was finally able to get my hands on this hot item for the first time around two years ago. And guess what? It works wonder just as it claimed to be! I’m so trigged. These are the list of benefits I got from the website:

And yeah, my skin got better. I barely got any pimple or breakout, the scars faded, also the redness around my nose and I did feel the changes on my skin texture which it became more smooth and it really helped me a lot when I want to apply foundation. My foundation looks good and less cakey compare to before

How long this facial cream can last?

This Snail White facial cream did last quite long, around 3 months for a single tube. However I just apply it on the night skin care routine (and I used a really-really small amount, because it too expensive) lol. I didn’t repurchase after that, but my skin still looked good

UNTIL THIS YEAR!

I got a new job at KL and I don’t know maybe because of the surrounding, my skin got a lot of breakout around my chin especially, which I found really weird. I do have acne problem since like forever but it don’t really happened on my chin (not that bad)

So I decide to buy the Snail White (once again) as my last solution. However, it’s like my luck is running out. The day when the parcel arrived at my home, I got infected with chicken pox. Yeah I know what you guys are thinking,

“Chicken pox at age of 24?! Seriously girl?”

But nothing I can do about it, I never had chicken pox since I was kid

So I waited until I got healed (around 3 weeks later) to start back my usual skin care routine. Sadly it’s not as easy as I though. My face is full of chicken pox scars, and because I don’t wear any skin care product during the period I got infected so my skin got worse. Even I’m applying the Snail White cream every single day, it seems like it can’t really help (not completely)

So this is the look of Snail White facial cream. I bought my first tube (2 years ago) from Hermo for RM120 during sale. My second tube I got from 9cm for a cheaper price, RM109. I also got free spray mist (the long bottle) as a free gift from www.9cm.com.my (go check it out)

I do love the facial cream however there's nothing much I can say about the spray mist. When I sprayed it to my face, it just like spraying a normal tap water. I didn't really feel any changes on my skin

Thankfully I got it for free. If I really bought it with my own money I might gone like mad crazy wasting RM99 for 'basically only plain water'

The look inside after the lid removed:

The actual product:

Here are the pros and cons of this product:

The things I like about it

1. It really works on my face like helps fading my acne scars and redness around my nose
2. Love the packaging design because it keeps the actual product's hygienic
3. It smells good
4. It absorbs fast on the skin, not oily
5. Good for people who have acne problem
6. Suitable for all skin types

The things that I dont really like about it

1. I can't see the amount of the product inside of the bottle (which I cant really tell how much more product left inside)
2. It claimed to have whitening/brightening effect, but it doesn't really shown on my skin ( maybe it's more effective in reducing the dullness when it says 'brightening')
3. The price :(
It's too pricey for a facial cream/moisturizer
4. It's hard to get this at store or online (Beware: There are many fake version of this so please be careful before you buy)

Will I repurchase this for the third time?

My answer for now will probably be NO. Because I think it's too much to spend more than hundred ringgit for a tube of moisturizer. I might prefer to spend that much of money on serum/essence

That's all my review for this entry. If you have any question, please write it on the comments section. Just to remind you that this is my 100% honest review based on what it did on my face. Whether it worked on me or not, it may have different effect on your skin

Thank you for reading :)

Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off Review + Welcome back to blog!

June 03, 2017 2 Comments
I've been looking at my last post; September 2016??? Oh my God that long? Haha

Well, I have changed my blog's template. What do you guys think? It looks more appealing isn't it? From now, I think I will try my best to write and post something more frequently. Just to make myself more productive I guess lol

Okay I'm gonna started with the main character for this time review; it is scrub from Skin Food and I choose to buy the black sugar one

The packaging is so classic, unique and simple yet really eye-catching. I mean when I first saw this the only image that pop-up into my mind is pudding. It does looks like a pudding container to me haha

Before I proceed with more detail about this mask, I wanna tell a little bit about the brand; Skin Food. Skin Food is a South Korean skincare and cosmetics manufacturer and retailer, headquartered in Seoul. The owner of the company has been involved in the skincare business since 1957 (Wikipedia). Skin food is famous for its trademark by using the natural ingredients (mostly food) like black sugar, rice and strawberry

There's a lot of flavors other than black sugar that you can choose. The only reason why I'm chosen the black sugar is bcs they are the most popular among all the Skin Food wash off masks

Other flavors:

Alright let's go back to the review thing :D

This is the look inside. When you remove the top lid, there's another (I would say) second lid which I love it so much. Because products that put second lid like this is more hygienic in my opinion

The actual product of the 'black sugar mask/scrub':

I'm not really sure what black sugar is. At first I just make random assumption that it was 'gula melaka' haha. But I was right, it is gula melaka! I normally using things like lemon, honey and turmeric powder on my face as facial remedy but honestly this is the first time ever I'm putting gula melaka and guess what? It feels so good! BIG thumbs up!

How the product looks like on my hand

Question: How to use it?

Just take some of the product and rub to your face gently. It might be a little bit rough, so you need to make it slowly and very gentle on your face. You can also let it be on your face a few while before rinse it. Trust me, after that your face will feel so soft and calming. Overall I will give this product 9/10 ★★★★★ and I will absolutely repurchase it

Question: Where to find it? How much is the price?

I bought this from my favorite site; www.hermo.my for a very affordable price at RM25
I've been around and surveyed the outlet in Suria KLCC and I found that the price is much much expensive than in Hermo. I can't really remember but I guess it was around RM40++ something.
So if you are interested in buying this, you can go and check it out at Hermo website

Question: How long does it last?

Hmmm it depends on the amount of your consumption. I've been using this black sugar mask since Mac and now in June it almost hit the bottom. And for you to know, I used it almost everyday before washing my face with cleanser. So yeah, I would say that it does last for quite long time

Finally for the PROs and CONs!

Good things are:

1. It really helps to remove dirt and dead skin
2. Makes my face feels so smooth and clean
3. The packaging is very cute
4. The price is affordable (from online site)
5. It smells nice

Not so good things are:

1. The packaging might not be very travel-friendly
2. It is very expensive if buying from the outlet

So guys, that's all for my review this time. Till we meet again, see ya. Assalamualaikum
