I bought high-end makeup for the first time! Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Review

August 20, 2017 0 Comments
Hi everyone! On the previous post, I made a review on eyeshadow palette from a brand name Nicka K. Click here if you not see it yet

Yet, this is another review about eyeshadow haha. I just so in love with eyeshadow, they are literally one of the most beautiful things in the world! 😆 Don't you think so?

For this time review I wanna talk about one of the Tarte palette called Tartelette In Bloom which very, very famous and I think you guys might have seen this somewhere at least once whether in makeup tutorial, instagram or anywhere

I just shoot this on the floor because I'm too lazy that time 😅

And in Sephora, the Tarte section always was put at the most front of the entrance. Which mean, they are getting a lot of attention and demand from the consumers. I have tried the tester like a hundred times already at Sephora but never had a real chance to buy it (yeah bcos I'm broke). Only from the tester I know that Tartelette In Bloom is indeed a very good palette. The quality is just the bomb which you will never find in drugstore products

So I spend 175 bucks on this (yeah it's crazy please dont tell my mum). You can get it in Sephora and this is like my first high-end makeup ever! I never bought something that totally expensive like this one haha. But I just need to because I have been craving for this palette for a very long time. So yeah, I finally did it guyss (duhh)

So here the first look!

The box

The look inside

The palette's size on my hand

The way it looks on the back

It has a very large mirror which very convenient

The colors:

I would say that the third row of this palette; sweetheart, rebel and leader are my favorite of all the rest of the colors. They are just wayyyyy tooooooooooo prettyyyyy to handle! I just cant~~ lol

So here the swatches on the back of my hand:

The first row (from left): Charmer | Jetsetter | Rocker | Smokeshow

Second row (from left): Flower child | Smartypants | Firecracker | Activist

Third row (from left): Funny girl | Sweetheart | Rebel | Leader

🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

So this here my full review on this lovely Tartelette In Bloom palette:

1. Love the palette so much. The colors are beautiful, the pigmentation is just so good
2. Most of the colors are matte, but the texture is very creamy. Once I applied this on my eye-lid, it feels so soft
3. Suitable for everyday look. I really recommend this to those who like natural look for the eyes
4. The smell is SO F**KING GOOD! It smells so nice guyss. I cant stop putting my nose on it lol. It smells like a chocolate or cookies. Love it!
5. The packaging is so well made. Not like some tacky plastics and it does look very luxurios
6. Good for both beginners and professional

Few things I don't really like about the palette:

1. I have been using this for almost 2 month, and I noticed that the surface of the packaging started to fall-out. I dont know how to explain it but I will put the picture next time
2. So because of that, I think that this palette might be not really travel-friendly. But if you dont mind about the look of the packaging so it's fine then. You can always bring it together anywhere you want
3. The eyeshadow itself is quite fall-off if you pressing it too hard. So please be gentle especially when you are using brushes or else you will be wasting too much product (Remember guys, this little angel cost you RM175)
4. The colors might can't really be seen on someone who has deep skin tone. Because me myself, my skin is quite tan so I find that it's quite hard to make it visible on my eye-lids compare on those who have lighter skin tone. I recommend you to use your finger because the color look much better on skin than using the brush

🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Here I will show you the look of the this eyeshadow on me:

For this look I just use one shade; Smarty pants

So that's all my review for this time. I hope I can write more in the future, there's so many makeup and skin-care products I wanna share with you guys. Till then, thanks for reading

Drugstore Eyeshadow: Nicka K New York Palette

August 19, 2017 0 Comments
Assalamualaikum and hi guys. I've been busy lately with the video for Hari Merdeka and I was like "Hey, lets abandon all these works and write some stuffs (smiley face)" That's the common thing that happened in my head when suddenly my mind became like struggling to do something more productive when I'm actually 'productively doing something'. I know, doesn't make sense our minds sometimes

Okay back to the main topic, I wanna make some review on this eyeshadow palette from a brand name Nicka K New York

*please excuse mine is totally worn out, have been using this for almost a year*

You can try google it and see that they actually got a lot of products under their brand and I think that the products they are making looks pretty cool

I got this palette from Watsons Berjaya Times Square around in September and October last year (sorry cant recall). I bought it at a very very reasonable price for only RM17! Can you believe this guys? An eyeshadow palette with 9 colors cost you lower than 20 ringgit?? Totally gonna grab this!

But I'm not that easily to spend my money. Even they are cheap, doesn't mean I would just okay if the quality is so bad. I prefer to buy something expensive but I could wear it for the rest of my life than being a cheapskate and then end up throwing them into the bin

So I tried the tester to see the texture of the eyeshadow; whether they're pigmented or not and here guys, once again I was sooooooo deeply moved by the swatches! lol

I mean like.. the price is so affordable, the size and the colors are just nice, the pigmentation is good and it's a drugstore cosmetic! Not some knocked-off from the market or something

So here the look of the palette (I labelled the colors with numbers so that it will be easier to show you the swatches later)

As you can see it comes together with a little sponge with stick...? spatula? brush? I dont know what they called that thing (I never use it) and also a little mirror at the bottom (which clearly no one will use)

Look at the container, mine is already broken and crushed so bad 😂

Look of the back of the palette. I got mine in the shade of 'Perfect Nude'

The swatches. The pigmentation is quite good itsn't it?

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Overall, I will give 4 out of 5 stars to this palette ☆☆☆☆ Here my reasons:

1. The colors are beautiful
2. The pigmentation is good (cant compare to high-end one but honestly I think it's good enough)
3. The price is superb! Totally affordable!
4. It easy to blend, suitable for beginners
5. Also it stay quite long (as long as you dont rub your eyes too much)

I really recommend this to you guys who want an affordable eyeshadow palette. Honestly I think the quality of this Nicka K eyeshadow is much better than other popular drugstore brands like Revlon and Maybelline

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Lastly, I belanja sikit lah my look when I applied this eyeshadow on my everyday makeup look

I apply filter on this photo or else the eyeshadow cant really be seen on my eye-lids

Noob looks. My pipi dah macam nak meletop hahaa

Okay guys thats all my makeup review for this time. Thanks for reading

Maybelline Super BB Cushion Review

September 15, 2016 0 Comments
Hello guys, it’s been a while since my last update. This time I just wanna make a detailed review on Maybelline Super Bb Cushion (which I bought a long time ago lol)

Before I started I wanna tell you guys what actually BB cushion is. Because maybe some of you ever heard about this product, but you just don’t really know how does it worked

BB cushion is originated from South Korea and now become a huge trend in Asia and also the other countries in Europe. Brands like Laneige, Sulwhasoo, and Etude House are some of the examples of the earliest beauty products that come out with BB cushion. Even now, the Europe and US brands seems to started following the trends by producing their own BB Cushion like Maybelline and L'Oreal Paris.

How does the BB Cushion work? It’s not much different than normal liquid foundation/BB cream. It just come out in compact shape and stored in sponge form; which make it easier for us to bring along or put it in the bag.

Now, let’s start to the main character!

This is how does it looked when I first bought it from Watsons. Sorry I can’t really recall, but I think the price is about RM50++ something. It’s quite cheaper than the Korean BB cushion

This is how it looks inside. Tbh I really love the looks of the packaging. It’s simple yet elegant

Tadahh~ You can see the mirror and the cute white puff inside. I’m so excited when I first opened this haha

That’s the actual product. I bought the natural shade (there’s only two shades available; Ivory & Natural). Fyi, all the BB cushion products can be opened like in the picture (right). Means they can always being replaced with the refill. So you don’t have to buy the entire products when you want to re-purchase; just buy the refill one

p/s: This Maybelline BB cushion doesn’t come out with refill. I’m not sure if there is any, because I cannot find the refill like the L'Oreal Bb cushion

I pressed in my finger into the sponge to let you see clearly how the product looks like. On the right pic is the condition of the product after pressed by using the puff

This is how it looked on my face before and after I applying the BB cushion from Maybelline. To be honest it's too light for my skin

The looked after I finished my makeup by applying some eyeliner and lipstick. (I didn’t even applied any powder or concealer)

The PROs and CONs

The good things are:

1. The price is very affordable compare to other brands
2. The design of the packaging is very pretty
3. The product doesn’t make my skin too oily or too dry; suitable for all skin types
4. Suitable for daily use and for someone who prefers light makeup
5. Long lasting. I wear it in the morning, and it still look quite okay after a few hours

The bad things are:

1. It only comes in two shades (I bought the natural one, but I’m still feels like it too light on my skin)
2. It doesn’t come together with refill
3. It is not full-coverage, which you still need to apply concealer to cover the spot, scars or dark circle under the eyes
4. The volume/quantity of the product is not that much. Means, I just applied it not more than 10 times and it already about to run out
5. It will cause creasing; especially around the nose and the under eyes area. So you still need powder to set it up

Overall I'm gonna give this Myabelline BB Cushion 3/5
