Hi gais, this time I wanna make a review on this little guy over here; cleansing balm from brand Heimish

RM59 (can get cheaper during sale)

WHERE TO GET THIS?
Hermo, Instagram Shop

So basically, some of you might not know what cleansing balm is, right? Okay here comes my part where I'm gonna explain to you guys

Cleansing balm has the same properties like makeup remover, micellar water, or oil cleanser. As we know that the good skincare routine include the double cleansing step so you can use this cleansing balm as your first cleanser if you are not okay with micellar water or oil cleanser

Once you are done cleanse all the makeup, dirt and oil on your face using this cleansing balm, you can continue to wash your face with any foam cleanser of your choice like usual

When I first tried this on my face I was really impressed about how good it is in cleansing my makeup especially those water proof slash hard-to-remove makeup like mascara and eyeliner. It even doing a better job than my Garnier micellar water and Simple cleansing oil

I prefer to use this only when I applied my makeup. And when I'm not, I'm gonna just use my Simple cleansing oil to do my daily double cleanse. If you guys ask me "Can I use this cleansing balm in my daily routine?" I would say yes, why not. Except that it might be a little too thick but overall yes, you can

Not only it doing an impressive job at clearing makeup, it also makes my skin feels so clean and super smooth. So yeah, a big thumbs up for that!

The overview of the product:

It's so pretty...LOVE IT! >_<

I like it when product comes with spatula like this:

The texture of this cleansing balm is like.. hmm how I'm gonna describe this? Like a candle wax? Yup, it's almost like that but not too bad. Of course it's more creamy and subtle

And here the snapshots of me trying to erase my most water proof makeup; (from left) Silkygirl Matte Junkie Lip Cream, Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip, Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, Maybelline Hypersharp Power Black Liquid Eyeliner (well this one tbh is not really waterproof but I tried with the mascara but it just don't stick on my hand... so yeah I have no other choice but to replace it with the eyeliner)

Can you see how easy it was to remove all those makeup? Yeah it still don't completely removed the eyeliner stain (wait, so that's mean the Maybelline liner is indeed proven to be waterproof, lol), but I don't even trying really hard gaiss. I mean, I just swiping the cleansing balm using my finger and not using cotton pad like I always did

And of course I did tried this on my face, and like I already said it's really really doing an amazing job!

Pros and Cons

The good things about it
👍 It does amazing job in removing thick makeup
👍 It doesn't drying out my skin
👍 It doesn't clogged my pores or cause me any breakout
👍 It makes my skin feel so smooth and clean
👍 It comes with a really cute and practical packaging
👍 It has a lot of product in the jar, 120 ml for the range price of RM40-60 is really affordable for me

The down side
👎 Nothing! I'm completely satisfy with this product :D

Who will love this?
- Someone who feel her/his skin is too dry for micellar water and too oily to use oil cleanser
- Those who want to try a new thing to use in their double cleansing routine
- Also someone that wear a lot of makeup or wear makeup everyday

Will I repurchase?
Absolutely!

Finally I want to rate this product 5/5

Again, thanks for be here and reading this review

Bio-Essence Miracle Bio Water Cooling Sunscreen Review

July 07, 2018 8 Comments

This time review is about sunscreen, I'm gonna review on both these Bio-Essence Miracle Bio Water Cooling Sunscreens in SPF 30 and 50

These recent days, the community start to aware about the importance of wearing sunscreen. Not only to avoid from getting suntan or sunburn, but also for preventing us from the risk of skin cancer

Hence, sunscreen is indeed importance no matter you are male or female. Not only for beauty purpose but also for your skin health

SO SISTERS AND BROTHERS, WEAR YOUR FREAKING SUNSCREEN!

And if you are on Twitter everyday like me, and you're into skincare you probably at least knew these people like Maisarah Mahmud, Iman Abdul Rahim and Chizu Bunny

They are beauty enthusiasts, who have a lot of knowledge about skincare thingy and keep sharing with everyone a lot of useful beauty tips. And of course, sunscreen is one of the emphasized topics

Ok now let's get back to my review. Sorry for the long intro tho

This Miracle Bio Water Cooling Sunscreen has been my long time favorite sunscreen since last year. My first sunscreen is the one from Cetaphil but God! I hate that thing! Cetaphil's sunscreen just feel too oily and sticky

Then I was looking for other sunscreen and that's when I found someone suggesting me to try this sunscreen

Details:

Name: Miracle Bio Water Cooling Sunscreen (SPF 30 & 50, PA++)
Brand: Bio-Essence
Country: Malaysia
Capacity: 40 ml
What it uses for: UV protection, hydrating
Price: RM30++ (for SPF 30) & RM40++ (for SPF 50)
Where to buy: Drugstores; Watsons, Guardian, Caring, etc.

The Ingredients

I think there's slightly differences in the ingredients list between the spf 30 and spf 50 (or maybe it's just the sequence that different). But well, I'm not 'pakar ingredients' but this sunscreen does contain alcohol and fragrance. Also both contains Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, or also known as Avobenzone

Some Facts

Avobenzone is an oil-soluble ingredient used in sunscreen products to absorb the full spectrum of UVA rays (Wikipedia)

Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane has the ability to absorb ultraviolet light over a wide range of wavelengths and then convert it to less damaging infrared radiation (heat)

Safety: Although avobenzone is considered safe, disintegration products may have significant health impacts and persist in the environment. A recent study at Lomonosov Moscow State University found that chlorinated water and ultraviolet light can cause avobenzone to disintegrate into various other organic compounds, including; aromatic acids, aldehydes, phenols, and acetophenones which may have adverse health effects

So for what I understand is, it's still 50-50 whether the avobenzone is totally safe or not for health. And I heard a lot about people got some reaction towards this ingredient especially those with dry and sensitive skin. So if you wanna bought this sunscreen,  make sure you can tolerate well with ingredients such butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane/avobenzone (Do patch test, please)

Pros & Cons

What I love about it?
I love it bcs the texture is very light, it's water based, absorb fast, doesn't feel sticky, no white-cast and most important is it feels so comfortable on my face and doesn't cause me breakout or clogged my pores. Also the price is affordable and easy to get at any drugstores in our country

What I don't really like about it?
I'm kinda concern the fact that it contains alcohol and avobenzone. Even though I'm not having any bad reaction or breakout, but I'm still worry about the long-term effect. Also I prefer if it provides with more than only PA++ (maybe +++ or ++++ even better). Other than that, I have absolutely no issue with this sunscreen

The Overview

From the packaging the SPF 30 claimed to be high protection and non-sticky while the SPF 50 claimed to be hydrating and light-weight

SPF 30 (on the left) and SPF 50 (on the right). They are just the same in texture.
In this picture it looked quite different bcs during that time the SPF 30 one dah
hampir nak habis

My final thought

I do really love this sunscreen. Will i repurchase? Ofc, always!

But I'm hoping that I will find a better replacement for this as I just prefer something with no alcohol, fragrance, avobenzone or any ingredients that may cause irritation but still feel so light and comfortable just like this Miracle Bio Water Cooling Sunscreen

Thanks for reading this post!

Nutox Advanced Serum Concentrate Review

July 04, 2018 2 Comments

This review I'm gonna talk about Nutox Advanced Serum Concentrate

I bought this last year around January or February I think. And for first impression I was kinda enjoy this serum. It has thick but non-sticky texture and absorb well into skin

Right after applying this I felt like my face got tighten, felt like it got stretched upward which is a good thing in my opinion for preventing skin aging. Oh yeah, lifting! That's the word :D

Ingredients

Water, Butylene, Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Maltodextrin, Glycerin, Swertia Chirata Extract, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Avena Sativa (oat) Kernel Extract, Tremella Fuciformis (mashroom) Extract, Propanediol, Evodia Rutaecarpa Fruit Extract, Fructan, Yeast Beta-Glucan, Swiftlet Nest Extract, Tropaeolum Majus Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Triethanolamine, Tetrasidum EDTA

So the key ingredient is 'Swiftlet Nest Extract' (bird's nest extract/collagen) that believe to be good in slowing the process of ageing skin. It also has Glycerin which is a good humectant factor to attract moisture onto skin. And if you have sensitive skin just to remind you that this serum does contains fragrance

Details of Product:

What it is Good For?
Nutox Advanced Serum Concentrate is an enhanced, concentrated serum packed with two times more bird’s nest collagen that will help to defy ageing. This lightweight serum is boosted with Actigenics Technology™, which help to improve gene activity and speed up the production of the skin’s natural collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Be amazed by its instant and long-term lifting effects. The result of consistent use is visibly improved deep wrinkles in two weeks*. Your skin becomes firmer, elastic and smooth. It is suitable for all skin types (source: Watsons Singapore website)

Size/Volume
30 ml

Price
RM64 - RM70++

Country
Malaysia

Directions
Apply on cleansed face and neck before moisturiser. Use day & night

Where to buy?
Any drugstores like Watsons, Guardian, Caring, Wellness

It stated at the box that it also has hyaluronic acid but I can't find it in the ingredients list

The texture:

So here the pros and cons

What I like about this serum?
It has a nice and decent feeling when applied on skin. It does gave the instant effect where I can feel my skin got tighten and lifting right after applying it, probably bcs of the bird's nest collagen. The smell is also a pleasant, not like certain too fruity of perfumy scent. It absorb really fast and doesn't feel sticky

What I don't like about it?
The price is quite too much for 30 ml product. I know that it's a standard price for a serum but girl, I have a big face! 30 ml will just last me for about a month...I guess? Besides the texture is quite thick so it kinda hard for me to spread it all over my face. So I will need more product everytime I'm applying. So yeah definitely it's not worth (for me) to spend like 60 bucks per month for only a serum

So will I repurchase?
Probably not. But if you want to find solution for wrinkles and have more money, this serum might help

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Review

July 03, 2018 0 Comments

Hello gais so this entry I nak start tulis review on skin care. Sebab posts yang sebelum ni dah banyak pasal makeup (ceyy sebenarnya tak banyak mana pun lel)

So today our main character is Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence. So basically dia essence lah, ala-ala SKII centu

But memang ramai pun yang kata this one dupe to SKII, dari segi apa tu sis tak dapat nak cakap lah sebab sis pun tak mampu lagi nak try SKII haha. Maybe dari segi effect or texture kot

Tapi ofc these two are different. For what I know, Missha the star ingredients are Himalaya Purple Barley & Fermented Gemmule Yeast Extract 90% while SKII pulak is Pitera

So kalau you guys tanya Pitera tu apa? So here is the google answer:

What is Pitera made of?
Dawn French: "Pitera is the broth that's made by the yeast. It is rich in amino acids, proteins, organics, acids." And that broth, she says, helps exfoliate and restore the skin's radiance.
(Oct 17, 2004)

So what I noticed is both of Missha and SKII have some kind of yeast extract so yeah sebab tu lah kot orang kata Missha is the dupe version of SKII Facial Treatment Essence

So here the ingredients list. I screenshot jugak (below) from Althea punya website, in case you guys tak clear tengok dekat kotak tu. But kalau perasan the first ingredient punya nama tu macam lain sikit compare dengan yang from Althea. Maybe yang dekat Althea ni the newest version and they changed the ingredients a bit

But still the star ingredients like barley extract, niacinamide, glycerin and lactic acid still ada. So still good (thumbs up!)

WHAT IT IS GOOD FOR?
- It claimed to help in repairing wrinkle & brightening
- Recover skin balance and basic ability of skin by raising skin moisture from deep inside (maybe it means to help in repairing the skin barier)
- Evens out skin texture, hydrates and improves the overall health for a youthful glow

KEY INGREDIENTS
Himalayan purple barley - Plumps, smooths out skin texture and reduce pigmentation for a youthful glow
Niacinamide - Brightens and clarifies the skin
Adenosine - Energizes the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

SUITABLE FOR
All skin types

VOLUME/SIZE
150ml

MADE IN
Korea

DIRECTIONS
At the first step of skin care after cleansing, take an appropriate amount on cotton puff and apply it over the face. Pat lightly until fully absorbed. After applying it, continue next skin care step as usual

So basically all these information I just copied from the box packaging and Althea website. Even direction dia kata apply guna cotton puff but I personally prefer to apply this essence guna tangan je

My own experience

The texture is really watery, sangat-sangat light (literally like air biasa). There's no fragrance but dia macam ada sikit lah bau, I'm not sure nak kata bau apa (maybe barley) but tak mengganggu pun. Just nice to apply on the face

My fault is I applied this after toner. Mula pun I rasa macam ehh bukan ke texture paling ringan and watery ke kena apply dulu in first step of skincare? Sebab my Hada Labo toner is quite thicker than normal toner but from my search kata essence is after toner. So I confused waktu tu haha

And then I baca-baca lagi try google review semua betul lah yang this essence kena pakai first sekali after cleanse sebab dia memang act as 'first treatment' in skin care routine. Dan nama pun 'First Treatment Essence' tu pun tak boleh nak tangkap lagi... aduiii shamerrr (tampar dahi)

The packaging is made of thick glass with silver cap. Which I love so much bcs nampak macam luxury gila. Mudah pecah or tak I'm not sure but kaca kan so better jangan bagi jatuh lah

Ni gambar lama, yang sekarang dah almost nak habis
I put sticker sebab masa ambik gambar ni my reflection nampak
dekat penutup dia tu luls

I apply this everyday religiously in AM and PM. Even pergi travel mana-mana pun gigih bawak tau

My first impression I macam tak impress sangat sebab rasa macam apply air biasa je kat muka. Mula lah masa tu doubt ehh aku beli yang tak ori ke ni? haha. Awal-awal memang tak perasan the effect but after one or two weeks macam tu lah I perasan acne dah kurang tumbuh, tak macam biasa

The texture is very light, cepat menyerap and not sticky at all. Not only my acne semakin kurang, also it really helps me in lighten up my dark sports and blemishes

I bought this at Althea masa tu harga dia RM135 (cheaper than Hermo). A bit pricey tapi worth gila-gila. And kalau difikirkan tak rasa too much pun sebenarnya nak spend on this essence bcs I bought this May tahun lepas and now still ada lagi (I memang pakai sikit-sikit je sebab sayang kan benda mahal, hehe). So kiranya satu botol tu pun boleh tahan lebih setahun, ikut how much you apply everyday

Masa I tengah tulis ni baru realized yang I dah pakai this Missa FTE dah lebih setahun pastu I pun cepat-cepat cari kotak and belek nak tengok dia punya PAO (period after opening) tapi takde pulak. So I guess boleh je lah kot pakai lebih setahun pun luls
PAO label

And this is my skin before and after pakai dalam 2 months macam tu. Fyi my skin masa bulan 5 tu jadi teruk sangat macam tu sebab I baru lepas kena chicken pox (lmao betul dah tua baru nak kena)

Waktu ni parut chicken pox dah banyak pudar, parut jerawat tu yang lagi degil.
And I also got new pimple dekat dahi

So I dah naik kan contrast these pictures so boleh nampak clear all the scars and blemishes. Sorry lah kalau gambar my face ni buat you gais rasa nak muntah

Masa kena chicken pox tu I memang tak pakai langsung any skincare, and then tumbuh
la banyak gila jerawat yg takde mata tu besar-besar on my chin. Dah lah sakit annoying gila

Dia punya kesan and improvement tu memang tak banyak beza but normal lah kan. When it comes to skincare ni kita memang kena banyak sabar and takkan ada jalan singkat

And now dah 2018, my skin still takde lah ok sepenuhnya. I still got acne on my face especially hormonal acne yang susah nak treat on my chin area. So yeah, I'm still working hard to achieve that healthy and good looking skin. Chaiyok!

So if you guys nak beli boleh check dekat Althea (click here) or Hermo (click here). But Hermo mahal sikit lah dalam RM148, kalau nak maybe boleh tunggu sampai ada sale ke. Or you guys boleh jugak beli dekat Missha punya outlet dekat Sunway Pyramid. But I think kalau dekat kedai mesti lagi mahal

My conclusion is I really really love this essence so much! Absolutely one of my holy grail products. And ofc I will repurchase this

p/s: ni pun dah kena order cepat dekat Althea ni sebab dah nak habis. Ohhh~ my monnnehhh~

I'm gonna give this 5/5, no doubt ;)

Catrice Haul Review

June 29, 2018 0 Comments

Assalamualaikum and hello gaiss

In this post I wanna share about a few of Catrice Cosmetics products that I have tried. Ada yang I suka and ada jugak yang hmmmm macam ehhh centu lah. Not impressed

So let's start with this foundation first

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation

So I actually dah buat full review on this foundation in previous post so kalau you guys nak tengok boleh click here

My first impression of this foundation was not really good. I found it too dry, makes my skin looked flaky and just not good. The texture is very watery so at first I thought ohh this one might be light weight and can be layer banyak-banyak but nope!

I sampai sekarang menyesal gila ever wore this a few layers sebab lepas tu muka I macam pakai clay mask you tau!

I don't know if they are a lot of you yang suka but to me hmmm this one biasa-biasa je

Yes the coverage is quite good. Did it lasts 24H? I don't think so. I love mixing this with my Maybelline Fit Me but nak pakai dia saja I would pass. This might be a good foundation for oily skin. It's not that this one is just too bad, but at the same time it's not that great either

But I love the dropper
I got mine in the darkest shade available; 040 Warm Beige
You guys can get this at Guardians, retail price for RM39.90. There are four shades available

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Catrice Prime and Fine Pore Refining Anti-Shine Base

Okay first I wanna say sorry for the bad quality of the photos sebab masa ni ambik gambar dah malam and masa tu tengah kelam kabut nak kemas barang

Back to the review, this one pun antara produk Catrice yang paling hype and banyak orang kata best. So I bought one and tried on myself, and still tak paham pebende yang ramai sangat orang suka primer ni? Adoi (smh)

Honestly this one did nothing on my face. It doesn't cover my pores or make my foundation stay any longer. I also don't like the smell, it has kind of macam chemical punya bau.. rasanya you guys paham kan bau yang macam mana

The description and ingredients list

And sometimes I noticed that this did clogged my pores sebab every time pakai for the whole day and I balik rumah cuci makeup semua there will be a lot of tiny bumps on my face. So, I would definitely say no to this primer

The good sides of this primer are dia light weight and harga boleh tahan affordable. I think retail price dia maybe dalam RM20++ something

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder (Water Resistant)

This is another product yang I beli sebab ramai warga Twitter suka. But then I macam pebende ni dohh?

I tak tahu lah maybe sebab my kulit is gelap ke apa for this bronzer, but to me honestly this little fella literally did nothing

I tried swatched on my hand and memang takde pigmentation what so ever so why 'bronzer' sis? Why 'bronzer?' (mata ke atas)

Can you guys see it? Ni pun I dah tonyoh banyak kali nak bagi
nampak on camera

It's such a waste gaiss sebab I love the packaging so much! Dia punya bekas tu macam high quality gila tau macam plastik yang tebal tu. So I macam hmm sayangnya. Maybe I should just used this as powder je kot or buy another darker shade next time (tu pun kalau ada)

Btw I bought mine in the shade medium skin

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Catrice All Round Concealer Palette

This one I just pakai yang warna oren tu je tu pun susah gila nak apply dekat muka. Tu sebab pan oren tu je dah habis hehe

It has creamy texture but dia tak smooth tau, memang susah lah nak apply. But ok lahh at least the orange one did help cover my dark circle yang terlampau teruk tu

So basically yang hijau and oren tu for color correcting, let's say you ada dark circle ke, redness or dark spot yang susah nak hide guna concealer saja so you boleh color correcting dulu guna these hijau and oren based

I tak guna yang lain-lain selain oren tu sebab pigmentation dia macam so bad. Only the oren tu je yang ok sikit. So I dah try guna hijau tu untuk cover my redness around hidung, but failed. I also try to shape my brow guna shade beige and to conceal my dark circle, also failed!

I ada jugak try guna shade yang tengah (I pepandai je letak nama dia coffee) as contour cream but hmmm semua tak menjadi so I decide nak humban je benda ni ke dalam tong

Sebab yg oren dah habis so dapat swatch these four je
Maybe you gais tengok swatches tu macam "ehh ok je" kan but tu dekat tangan, sis. When apply dekat muka agak susah nak ratakan. Lagi-lagi bila pakai brush. So nope, I think this is not a good product from Catrice :( Will never repurchase unless dorang tukar formula jadi lebih creamy and senang nak apply

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Catrice Absolute Rose Eyeshadow Palette

This is like my one of the earliest eyeshadow palette before I bought the good one from Tarte and Colourpop

I just pernah guna sekali je tau, bayangkan haha. Waktu tu memang noob gila pasal makeup and I thought this shades range sesuai for everyday use and for my skin tone. You know what? Sekarang ni I dah macam lama pakai makeup baru lah I ada experience sikit

I.WILL.NEVER.USE.PURPLE.SHADE.SHADOW.ANYMORE!

Hahahaa I hate purple shadow on me so much gaiss! Like Ya Allah buruk gila kat muka aku. And plus, this palette is just wayyy to cool. I'm more into warm shadow girl

And the other shades macam pale pink tu, and... entah lah warna apa I pun tak pandai nama-nama color ni haha. But just say that all the shades in this palette are just bad and not for me. I looked like macam pucat gila tau. It makes me look so pale and wash out my look. It just basically ruined my makeup

So here is the swatches

The pigmentation looked quite good when I did this swatches hari tu. I sendiri pun macam terkejut sebenarnya haha. Sebab not bad jugak. But then I try lagi sekali apply dekat my eyes, hmm still hodoh! lols. So in the end lepas je ambik gambar ni I terus buang this palette. And dah lama pun rasanya memang patut sangat dibuang

But I think this shadows might be good bila nak buat smokey eyes look. But yeahh, selain tu I memang tak pandai pakai cool tone shadows. Next time I might try another palette from Catrice and pick something with natural or warm tone

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Catrice Rock Couture Extreme Volume Mascara 24H +
Lash Dresser Comb Mascara

Ok these two are the last products in this haul. These two are my most favorite drugstore mascara especially yang Rock Couture tu

Even the Rock Couture(left) claimed to be 'extreme volume' mascara, but I think it doesn't do much when it comes to volume. But I love this mascara bcs satu; dia senang nak remove (tak macam mascara Maybelline),  dua; it makes my lashes nampak natural and tak berkepul-kepul

The same thing goes with the Lash Dresser Comb, I love this one too. Cumanya this one macam susah sikit nak bagi lashes tu panjang. Kena layer by layer baru jadi

The applicators

And harga dia pun sangat-sangat berpatutan. Range harga for each mascara ni dalam RM17 - RM20 macam tu je. Murah gila kan?

Will I repurchase? Of course! I already on third bottle of the Rock Couture mascara *wink*

So that's all from my reviews. So basically I love the mascara so much, foundation so-so and others..... I just don't like them haha. Maybe next time I will give Catrice another try, maybe lips product ke kan

So, till we meet again. Thanks if you're here and reading this :)
